This site is meant to create a central location for all Adams Morgan residents to band together and discuss crime issues and solutions in the area.

You can do these things:

1. Register with the site. We will send out a monthly email newsletter with local crime stats and other news once a month.

2. Read the front page for ongoing news. I will post interesting stories about our efforts to fight crime, what other communities are doing, and what our politicians and police are doing (if they ever respond ;))

3. Discuss the issues and tell your story in the forums. Have you been mugged or your car broken into? Tell us where that happened, what happened, and any other details you can provide. The more aware we are, the better prepared the neighborhood is going to be on where to focus energy. ALSO, make sure you help come up with ideas on crime prevention initiatives we can put in place to make the neighborhood safer. We need to collaborate and communicate if we are going to see real change.

4. Tell your neighbors!! I can't emphasize this enough. Tell your neighbors about this site as we attempt to create a powerful voice and online community for those that want Adams Morgan to be safer. It is easy to register and get involved. The community becomes more valuable as more and more residents band together on AdamsMorganCrime.org! Don't keep it a secret, tell others, loudly!
