Saw these two on the Adams-Morgan Yahoo Group list. They happened 3 nights and 4-5 blocks apart. One much worse than the other. (How someone could be choked unconscious and then sexually assaulted just off 18th St. on a Saturday night beggars belief.) The descriptions of the perpetrator are similar.

2400 block 18th St., Sat. night:
From Sgt. Aceto: Yes there was a sexual assault on Saturday. The report says the complainant led the suspect into the alley for some reason, was then choked unconscious and woke up during the sexual assault. She screamed and the suspect ran. Lookout for B/M, 25-30 yrs, 5'-5 to 5'-7, short corn rolls, no facial hair. Complainant was not from DC.

1900 block Calvert St., Tues night:
Last night, February 12th around 9pm, a guy tried to grope one of my tenants as they were getting into the front door of row house in the 1940 block of Calvert Street. The guy sort of snuck up behind her and took a swipe at my rear end and kind of laughed. She had never seen this guy before, but felt he was hanging out on
Calvert and must have just followed her 50 feet or so to the house. She doesn't know if he was playing around or could have been dangerous, it was scary the way he just followed her up the steps and approached her at the front door.
A description of the guy: he was african-american, wearing a green camo print sweatshirt, close cut short hair, 22-27 years old, narrow eyes, he might have been drunk or high but it wasn't totally clear, he kind of took a swipe at the back of her coat and told her she had a nice ass, but was not fully coherent... She doesn't think he was homeless. KEEP you EYEs open.
