On Tuesday 4/8, about 6pm, I was walking from Mt. Pleasant to Cleveland Park. I walked down Park to Porter, and as I started up the big hill there toward Connecticut Ave, I walked past a beat up grey toyota-type car with a hispanic female and others in it. A few steps later, a hispanic male (about 5'5, shoulder length curly black hair) pushed me from behind. As I whipped around he grabbed my bag and ran back to the car. They drove off as I ran up the street to flag down help. Thankfully I was not hurt, but the detective I spoke with said this group (hispanic female, hispanic male and 1 other) have been robbing women in the upper Connecticut Ave area lately. Please be on the lookout - this was broad daylight during rush hour!
